Do you recycle?
Last Week’s Q: Do you recycle? Why or why not?
A: I do recycle, but, unfortunately, I have to go about it in a roundabout way.
When my husband and I moved to our house a little over two years ago, the previous owners excitedly told us that “you don’t even have to separate the trash!”
The borough of Bridgeport does not have a recycling service (trash pickup is provided through the borough).
We were kind of appalled by this, so we separate our recyclables on our own and take them to either his parents’ house (in Easttown Township) or my grandmother's house (in Tredyffrin Township).
Maybe someday Bridgeport will offer recycling services. It’s so surprising that in 2007 there would be a town that doesn’t at least offer limited recycling pickup, a drop-off point, or even a designated day once a month to bring recyclables to the park or something.
